I’ve read the rest of her novels but this one was hard to finish. It felt like she was trying too hard to tie together the characters from her other novels into this plot and it made it awkward and less enjoyable to read. The hatred between the main characters also made no sense and was poorly executed. I honestly think the main flaw in this book is the weaving of her prior novels/characters in and I look forward to reading her again if she writes something new.
I am a big fan of Jasmine Guillory and The Wedding Party did not disappoint. At first I was confused that it was talking about Alexa and Drew splitting up but I realized that this was a parallel track to the Jasmine's first book, The Wedding Date. this third book focuses on Alexa's 2 best friends - Maddie and Theo (who is also her co-worker).This is an enemies to lovers story. When Maddie and Theo first met, they had a difference of opinions about each other and they had a hard time being in the same area with each other for the sake of their mutual friend Alexa. Too much liquor and a ride home led to a sexy night which changed everything. They still could barely stand each other but the sex was great.Both characters have their faults that make it hard for them to get together. They frequently misunderstand each other and get their feelings hurt but in the end, they manage to find their Happily ever After.
The end of this fun series and probably my favorite! Enemies to lovers, secret dating, fun troupes all around! Also because I’m in the middle of wedding planning myself I loved the mixed in drama of Alexa and Drew. It was just fun, and cute, and adorably romantic with lots of pizza included! Maddie was energetic the perfect love interest to Theo’s quiet and smart! I need so much more from this author!
Truly truly amazing read... jasmine just continues to blow me away with each book that I read by her... Her characters are so real and so amazing I just can’t get enough of them and yet I simply love Theo and Maddie together... completely different personalities but fit together so perfectly... Their budding romance from the beginning was completely swoon worthy and gave me all the feels... Definitely can’t wait until what’s next from this author
My second favorite book after Wedding Date. I’m a great fan of Guillory’s work. Loved how she brought back old friends from previous books. I’ll read it several times just as I did The Wedding Date.
